New Jersey Fusion Indian Wedding by House of Talent Studio

Texas Fusion Wedding by Harmland Visions

Let us start off by quoting Bishop T.D Jakes, “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose” Appreciating the beauty in the simplicity of the lines above, as it truly defines why we do what we do and the one reason we exist. The Paanwaala, a profession as defined in the dictionary but a Passion in our dictionary. We present to you Paans (a staple from back home) in a way they have never been showcased. We at “The Paanwaala” are a team of ardent and hardcore Paan lovers (Yes we dream of Paans), passionately set out on a journey to try and rekindle to long suppressed desire to have authentic paans away from Home. From our Paan Genius and the brains behind the concept, Ankit Narula: Born and raised in a middle-class family from New Delhi-, a complete food aficionado (Like every other person from Delhi I guess) and an Avid Paan Lover is what would describe me from a culinary angle. My fixation and passion of paans started while growing up as my dad used to send me to grab Paans for him almost 3-4 times a day. Well all I can say today is “What started as a chore become my favorite time of the day”. Amused I was each time I saw “panditji- as I fondly called our Paanwaala uncle” rubbed the white colored choona and brown colored katha until they merged together forming a dark maroon color which seemed like a blank canvas waiting to be painted with all the colorful and authentic condiments that were gently rested on the betel leaf as though it was a work of art. In awe, I clearly remember my mouth would go wide with a big Whoaa each time panditji started folding the paan and transforming a leaf into an impeccable cone of succulent flavors. I don’t know when precisely, but slowly I fell in love with this art of making paan, little did I know then that I’ll be lucky enough one day to be able to pass along the magic of an authentic paan to a fellow paan lover in a different city, a different country and a different continent altogether. The Menu: The lineup of our original creations is a result of extraordinary ideas that fuse contemporary expectations with classic flavor combinations. The Delectable paan menu boasts of some age-old classics of the Calcutta Meetha Paan, and the royal Lucknawi Saada Paan for the hardcore authentic paan lovers. And then for the ones that don’t mind fusion of cuisines, the menu is brought to life with the following exotic paans: (This list is not the complete list of our flavors, just sharing some of the popular ones) • The Butterscotch Paan made with premium butterscotch crème and butterscotch nuts to add that bite and perfect texture and crunch. • The Tiramisu Gelato Paan that is a marriage of the Italian Desert Tiramisu with the age-old tradition of a Meetha Paan paired with a few different kicks of Teramo flavors and topped off with some Tiramisu Gelato! • The Kulfi Falooda Paan - Being true to his desi roots his best creations according to him is The Kulfi Falooda Paan where on a bed of semi-sweet paan, fresh pista kulfi and falooda is placed and topped off with some rose syrup. • Baileys and Sambuca Paan: Did I say I was from Delhi? How dare I forget my “alcoholic” friends, so we created this beauty of a paan, which is essentially a sweet paan that is rubbed with Baileys along with the Katha, and a generous spray of Sambuca (Fennel based drink) on the circumference of the paan after it is folded. This is a delight and an instant hit at all our live station events. • Mango Margarita Paan: Our love with Mangoes made us make this recipe which starts with some AamRas on the base of the paan and fresh mango chunks at the center and then an infusion of Mango Flavored Patron (Tequila), and lastly a touch of powdered sugar on the outside to give it that margarita touch! • Chocolate and Choc’O’Latte Paan: Compared to the premium paans above, they might sound normal, but they a sure a treat for the Chocolate and Coffee (latte) lovers! **The Menu currently has a total of 12 exotic paans!** A noteworthy “work in progress” recipe as we speak is “The CRÈME BRULEE Paan”. More to come!!
